Whistler market update: Starting today, June 1st,  Canadian homebuyers will face tougher mortgage stress test rules. This in result will decrease the buying power of most borrowers. This was put in place as a response to an overheated market that has already seen signs of cooling since its height last month. It is predicted to affect about 25% of the buyers in the market, so though we will see an impact from this it should not be affecting Whistler. Most of the impacted areas will have more first time home buyers than we see in Whistler.
